This Cuban six piece, all-male a cappella group, must rank as one of the most extraordinary groups in the world, and have gained the attention of artists such as Bobby McFerrin, Peter Gabriel and Paul Simon.
They may often sound like a complete salsa band; in reality it’s all created just with hands and mouth.
“MUSICAL MAGIC. So effective is it that initially you think they must be using backing tapes, or that the real musicians are hidden off-stage. In 1998 they won the Latin Grammy Award and were awarded for two further nominations in 2001.
After touring successfully during the last years their incredible live performance enthused their audience during numerous well known festivals all over Europe. Since they gained tremendous live experience due to their worldwide gigs they are definitely one of the world’s top A-Cappella bands.
In 2008 Vocal Sampling released their current album “Akapelleando” Europe-wide.
After having played amazing festival in the the last summer (City Jazznight Braunschweig, Köstritzer Spiegelzelt, Summer Festival of Cultures Stuttgart, Caliente Festival Zurich), in autumn the group performed at the famous A-Cappella-Nights in 7 German cities, as well as at the Pantheon A-Cappella Festival Bonn, Vocal Total Festival Munich, A Cappella Festival Berlin, Jazz Days Dresden, Burghof Lörrach and at the SKIP Label Night in Hamburg.
In Spring and Summer 2010 they will return to European stages to present their new repertoire. After their suprises last show with amazing versions of songs such as “Hotel California” be ready for further amazing musical entertainment!
