For more than 15 years EDSON CORDEIRO has been a constant representative of the Brazilian music scene. His 2005 released album “Countertenor” gained him a LATIN GRAMMY nomination in the category BEST CLASSICAL ALBUM. He can also look back on a long chain of successes in Europe.
Since the mid-90s he fascinates his audience in theatres, clubs and on big European stages, such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, Music Club Vienna or the Radeberger Classic Open Air in front of 20000 people with his outstanding range of voice especially when reaching the highest pitches. Berlin’s N°1 cabaret “Bar jeder Vernunft” was completely sold out during his 2 week stand in summer of 2004.
This great success was followed in 2005 by many concerts at internationally renowned clubs, venues, festivals and theatres like the overcrowded Södra Teatren in Stockholm where he was celebrated with overwhelming critiques. In the same year he had his UK debut at the Marquee Club- one of the hottest clubs in London! In 2006/2007 many other successful Europe-wide shows followed such as his performance at the BRIGHTON FESTIVAL which was sold out completely for five days in a row. The restless entertainer had more than 70 shows in the last year alone, amazing every single witness of his incomparable programme.
During the “Mozart Show” on ARD (First German Television), hosted by SANDRA MAISCHBERGER, he performed with the KLAZZ BROTHERS - the shooting stars of the German Classic/ Crossover scene - for the first time. They started a musical cooperation that led to a series of great concerts, including performances at the Savory Theater Düsseldorf, Opernhaus Halle and Parktheater Augsburg, among many others. A successful album release (KLAZZ MEETS THE VOICE/ Sony BMG) crowned the fruitful collaboration.
