After twenty years on stages all over the world, and nine album releases transcending all genres, Edson �The Voice� Cordeiro reinterprets the masterpieces of his repertoire, and compiles them into a spectacular collection beyond all musical boundaries.
Brazilian Countertenor Edson Cordeiro is considered one of the most versatile singers of our time. His vocal range spans an impressive four octaves, and his variety of vocal expression is extraordinary. Performing classic opera comes to him as naturally as performing popular music of every description: Latin, Jazz, Rock and even Dance music. At the same time he manages to interpret each and every song in his absolutely unique and inimitable way, be it Bizet�s Carmen, classical arias by H�ndel, songs by Chico Buarque, Janis Joplin, Billie Holiday or even Madonna.
Live, Edson Cordeiro proves to be a charismatic entertainer, whether he plays in clubs and theatres, or at bigger venues in front of huge audiences. With his larger-than-life stage presence, he has already performed at the Carnival in Salvador da Bahia, important European Jazz festivals, such as Montreux Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz and with symphonic orchestras at events like the Radeberger Classic Open Air with an audience of 20,000 people. In 2005, Cordeiro relocated to Berlin, Germany, and has been the musical guest star on some of the most important German late night TV shows.
Now he decided to present his very own selection of defining highlights � from classical arias to pop standards such as Queen�s Crazy Little Thing Called Love � crowned by exclusive, never before heard interpretations.
