“What it all means is this: It was official years ago that Clint Eastwood’s bass-playing son Kyle has turned into a dynamite meat-and-potatoes jazz leader and musician.”- The Buffalo News

Kyle Eastwood finally available for exclusive festival dates in GSA!

In addition to his undeniable talent as a studio musician and composer, he has entertained the audience of numerous renowned clubs (Moods ZurichBlue Note NYCNew Morning Paris, etc.) and festivals (Festival da Jazz St. MoritzAlbertville Jazz FestivalLeverkusener Jazztage) as an incredible live performer. The now very trendy Monsieur Eastwood played over 50 shows in France and Worldwide in 2017.

Since his apparition on the international jazz scene in the mid-90s, Kyle Eastwood is following his own path through the genre. With independence, elegance, persistence and with the help of his sophisticated ear, the bass player delivers a cross-genre sound that goes beyond the boundaries of modern jazz music. After his first solo album "From There To Here" (Columbia, 1998), which paid tribute to the golden age of big band jazz, he felt the need to get involved in more hybrid and cross-genre projects. That’s how the at that time 37-year-old musician released the smooth 70s colored "Paris Blue" LP (Candid, 2005), the resolutely groovy album "Now" (Rendezvous Entertainment, 2006) and the dancefloor and lounge oriented "Metropolitain" (Candid, 2009 ).

The son of the great Clint has since developed a direct, lyrical and melodic jazz, as traditional as contemporary, with the accompaniment of his very fresh band of young talented English "cats". His current album "In Transit" (Jazz Village / PIAS, 2017), recorded in 2017, confirms once again the success of this new musical aesthetic.
