Former “BAJOFONDO TANGO CLUB”-Mastermind Gustavo Santaolalla, a uniquely gifted multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer and composer (2 GRAMMIES- & 18 LATIN GRAMMIES), is today recognized as one of the most highly acclaimed and prolific contemporary Argentinian musicians in the world – even scoring 2 OSCARS (Best Original Movie Scores) for “Brokeback Mountain” and “Babel”. He also wrote the music for “Amores Perros”, “21 Grams”; Walter Salles’ “Motorcycle Diaries” and “On the Road”; HBO’s “Deadwood”; and Netflix’s “Narcos Mexico”.

On stage Santaolalla appears with his new band SantaBanda, performing music from throughout his career that mixes genres ranging from traditional music of Argentina, including tango, to minimalism, electronica and progressive rock, creating sparse yet emotive compositions and featuring well-known works from his previous musical collaborators Arco Iris and Bajofondo, as well as music he composed for The Last of Us, recently voted one of the best video games in history. This event is an intimate survey of a towering artist.
