Legendary producer and long term partner Quincy Jones was so moved by the Israeli/Yemini singer, poet, composer and musician Achinoam Nini aka NOA, that he proposed her album “Letters To Bach” to the Grammy-Committee in 2019.
“My baby-sister Achinoam Nini … is a 360 degree human being who politically or otherwise always lives by the truth! We have worked together countless times; she has a heart AND a mind! Her talent is no joke and her live performance is nothing short of the top of the international crop!” - Quincy Jones
NOA, born as a Yemini Jew, raised in the US and has now been living in Israel for years, moves effortless between music genres. She has impressed her audience with her angelic soprano on the most significant stages worldwide, like Carnegie Hall, Olympia, Colosseum, Barbican Center, North Sea & Montreux Jazz.
Influenced by her mentor Pat Metheny, she performed with Stars like Stevie Wonder, Andrea Bocelli, Al Di Meola, George Benson and Sting through the years. In Gil Dor, she has an exceptional Jazz& Classic guitarist by her side, who supports her passionate and intelligent tension between Yemini/ Jewish, US-American and modern-Israeli influenced pieces transforming into captivating and eventful experiences for the audience.
Especially NOA’s gentle and equally powerful as impressively trained voice fills her fans with enthusiasm from Israel across Europe to the USA. At her Concerts her spectators can enjoy her poetic and profound songs from different epochs and cultures, often enriched with jazz with world-influences. All of this is made accessible through her exceptional stage presence and her shining appearance, all of which is perfected by various influences of Pop, Rock, R&B and Folk.
Beginning with old Yemini Songs, which she learned from her grandmother as a child and interpreted new, NOA continued to compose songs in Italian, French, Spanish, English, Arab, Hebrew and even in Thai and Hindi. The cosmopolitan and Israeli “Voice of Peace” was given the Italian award for “Pilgrim of Peace” of the Franciscan order of Assisi for her commitment for peace and reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians, besides her function as UN-Ambassador as ‘bridge-builder’ between different cultures, she has already performed for tree popes and the white house.
